The Model 553SBKSN Benchmade Griptilian Black Tanto Folding Knife is outfitted with 3.40" Black Tanto 154CM stainless steel partially serrated blade. Benchmade's 553SBKSN features their famous AXIS Locking Mechanism, a very positive lock with a spring loaded sliding thumb stud that locks the blade open. True to its name the Griptilian's Sand handle is made of Valox which is a lightweight yet tough plastic material. Inside the handle there are two 420J stainless steel liners for added strength and support.
